This is made of plastic, so do not use too much pressure or you will crack the housing. 5 Remove the oil filter and replace it with a new one. Dip your finger in oil and lubricate the new filter's seal. Replace the filter housing cap and the air intake hose. 6 Clean the drain plug with a rag, and replace it. Replace the plastic skid plate, and lower the car. 7 Add the correct amount of oil to the engine. The 1.6 l engine takes 4 liters, the 1.8 l engine takes 4.3 liters, the 2.4 l takes 5.8 liters, the 1.6D engine takes 3.7 liters, and the 2.0D engine takes 5.5 liters.
